Avoidable Sexual Assault and Other Traumatic Injuries in Long-Term Care Facilities

Clients pay for and expect safety and supervision at long-term care facilities. The presenters will explain how insufficient staffing to supervise and meet residents’ needs, and inadequate training of staff/unqualified staff can lead to neglect of residents. Neglect can manifest in sexual assault by employees or third parties, among other injuries.
