This presentation focuses on walking through a fiduciary’s very first conservatorship case and how she and her team handled the multitude of issues that occurred. We will discuss issues involving a dissolution of domestic partnership, restraining orders, third party interference, and care providers. There will be a special focus on the ethics behind her decisions and the forces and obligations pulling her in different directions.

Sharon Duncan has been a California Licensed Professional Fiduciary since December of 2018. Prior to that, she held a variety of executive positions in banking, printing and publishing, and in international business development. Sharon is a member of PFAC and has served on the State Board as well as Board President of the Northern Region. She is currently Board Secretary of the Northern Region. She has a B.A. degree in English from Macalester College and an MBA from the University of St. Thomas, both in St. Paul, Minnesota. She received her Fiduciary Management credentials from Cal State Fullerton.
