EB 5 – Emotional Issues Of The Conserved

While the conserved share a basic inability to function as independent citizens, the reasons why are varied. There is a need for multidisciplinary coordination but for numerous reasons this does not happen. Clinical cases will be presented illustrating the problems related to different diagnoses, their unique problems and the need for interventions based on those issues. In particular, issues related to Intellectual Disability and Psychosis will be the focus, along with special attention paid to related legal involvement, as informed provision of care reduces predictable and preventable criminal issues. Benefits of sound psychological assessment will be outlined.
