Kate Kinnamont is the Associate Executive Director at the San Diego Regional Center (SDRC). Kate started her journey at SDRC 23 years ago as an Intake Service Coordinator. She has held several positions at SDRC including; Program Manager; Manager of Intake Services and Regional Manager. Kate assumed the role of the Director of Client Services in January of 2020. She oversees a department of over 500 staff mainly consisting of Service Coordinators providing coordination of supports to individuals served by SDRC. Prior to her employment with SDRC, Kate worked as a counselor/facilitator for the US Navy’s Drug and Alcohol education program in Norfolk, Virginia. She also worked as an Outpatient Counselor at a county mental health facility in Pensacola, Florida coordinating treatment plans for individuals who were on the Medicaid Waiver program and individuals transitioning out of the State Hospitals. When she moved back to San Diego, she worked as a Victim Services Counselor for the US Navy’s Family Advocacy Program, assisting military spouses who were survivors of domestic violence connect with services through the military and local community.
